Announcing Ask Soph

A bot to ask about dead philosophers.

For a couple of months I've been thinking about how to make it easier to access works in the public domain to everyone, and the idea of a chat bot and LLMs seemed like a potential good plan.

Since there is a lot of information in public domain and my wife is a Philosophy Major (she's the smart one!), I've decided to start this by limiting the work to 10 philosophers, and tried to get a varied list (all are men, because I couldn't find women philosophers in the public domain!).

Since training or fine-tuning LLMs can be quite expensive and I wasn't sure if anyone was interested in this kind of UI/UX, I decided to first release a simpler version which uses OpenAI/ChatGPT, with some instructions that should make it focus on the known/published works in the public domain.
